Supporting British Agriculture

The Machinery Shed, was an idea born from our founder Alastair Hall's background as a farm manager and growing up around his grandparents mixed arable and dairy herd in Northumberland. Machinery has always been a passion for Alastair and his knowledge combined with his impressive industry contacts in the UK and abroad offer our customers a brokerage service like no other.


Teaming up with his father, Richard, who has spent over 50 years within the construction industry, The Machinery Shed boys are able to bring  uncompromising  knowledge of machinery and equipment.

Understanding the every day machinery needs of a busy working farm is at the heart of what we do and we know that we can offer a better option to trading in your used machinery and vehicles without the hassle of having to place adverts and of course we help you achieve a better price than trading your machinery in .


We offer a scaling commission based on the type of machinery  or equipment for sale and will always allow the buyer and seller to communicate directly to arrange viewings and complete the sale meaning you always stay in control of the process.

The seller keeps the machinery on their property until the sale is complete. The buyer arranges collection from the seller.

Our selling fees are commission based, depending on the price of the item. We have no buyers fees.

We only take payment once your machinery is sold, so you have nothing to pay to list  items.
